Through this assignment, the concepts of logistics and transportation would be discussed. Logistics and transportation is a great pillar for the organization. Through this assignment, the concepts of transportation and logistics would be discussed in an elaborate manner. Logistic refers to the transporting system where the company can deliver the products to the customers. This is the 21st century where customers do not wish to visit the stores. The busy schedule of the individuals has shifted to the logistic services of the company.
Every company has been trying to reach out to the customers through the transportation and the logistics services. It has enabled the organizations to render better services to the customers reaching their desired products at the doorstep. Walmart is an American multinational retail based company that has its operations in almost all over the world. The headquarters of Walmart is situated in Bentonville, Arkansas. Walmart was founded in 1962. However, the company came to operations in 1969 (Meredith & Shafer, 2019).
The company operates in more than 25 countries in the world. Walmart operates in several countries in different names. Walmart has been operating in different countries with 56 different names. Walmart is the largest company in the world. As of 2019, the estimated revenue of Walmart was US$514.405 billion. This made Walmart the largest company by revenue.
Choosing Apple iPod as the Product Sold at Walmart
According to the reports from Walmart, the Apple iPod has been one of the products, which has been best sold to the customers in 2020 (Kshetri, 2018). These are electronic gadgets that provide various facilities to the customers. The product comes from the Apple Company and it has rendered the services to the customers in terms of facilities. It provides more services to the customers than just listening to music.
It has several facilities of communication, video games,
owsing tools and other facilities as well. It has been a huge demand among the customers. The Apple iPod has
ought about several changes and modifications in its services towards the customers. It has larger space optimization. The iPod also provides advanced technology facilities like face recognition and other facilities. Therefore, the customers are willing to buy the product at a very large price. The company has been delivering the product with the help of logistics and transportation facilities. The huge demand of the product has enabled Walmart to use logistics to deliver the product of the doorsteps of the customers. As mentioned earlier, logistics is one of the pillars of the organization.
The organization wishes to meet every demand of the customers in order to run the revenues high.
