Ethical Issues has been part of the organization since the beginning of the era. Organization has been facing this issue in(Cullinan,008) some way or the another either directly or indirectly which involves employees or issues relating to labor. Expanding to countries other than the host country requires lot of resources and a well-established plan but still some organizations uses illegal means to develop the business, in order or to save resources and increaser revenue. Ethical issues are poison to an organization and steps must be taken to remove them from existence.
Introduction:
EASI a food delivery company in Australia has been growing its business strategically and has a good hold of the food delivery market. They have utilized their resources and has been successful in developing a thriving business in the competitive market. Ethical issues still being part of every organization it is still practiced in EASI. But in all this ethical issues concerning illegal immigrants is still being in circle by the organization. Sometimes they provide illegal immigrants vis for student visa, as the labor are cheap from other countries. This impacts the economy of the country in which the business is thriving.
Summary of Scenario:
Sydney delivery which is known to be as one of the most popular food delivery system in Australia is also known as EASI. This organization is being operated by Chinese. They have expanded their business all the way across Australia underlying with the demand of gourmet foods, acquired by suppliers all around the country. Their customer base is increasing every year and has also crossed the mark of 1,000,000. Their supplies are almost 12,000 and they are still growing rapidly. In hospitality industry it is often observed that organizations prefer illegal immigrants to work at lower cost, thus saving money.
But this practice is illegal, while EASI promotes this by advertising it to social media to gain attention of workers to work at lower wages as low as $70 for 60 hours a week, which again conflict the law of Australia. They promote by Using Chinese language as the medium so that the workers can come as on tourist visa and can work there. To eliminate this, they provide student visas to the immigrants so that they can stay longer and work. According to the law it is illegal and student are also allowed to work 20 hours a week not more than that.
