Introduction
Leaders of business and contemporary organisations requires to be transparent and consistent in managing issues that arises at the workplace ethically. These issues could be any aspects like it can be social, economic or environmental but the approach to solve such concerns should be ethically and morally justified. Moreover, the boards of management in the organisation also scrutinise and critically validates any action taken or decision made are in sync with the organisation's moral aspects. With reference to “Business Ethics”, (Crane, A., & Matten, D., 2007) ethics in business is primary principles by the virtue of which people live their lives. Indeed, ethics in the workplace demands values like fairness, transparency, respect, accountability etc. that shapes behaviour and attitudes for the people working in that organisation. Therefore, in order to ethically manage any issues i
espective of its nature would concentrate on how to identify and then prioritise the virtues to influence desired behaviour in the organisation.
Social Issue 1: Addressing any kind of discrimination at workplace and providing rights of the employee
Taking reference from “Business ethics and sustainability”, (Lashley, C., 2016) issue 1 identified is very common social issues that is witnessed in the many organisation of present times. With globalisation and liberal immigration laws most of the contemporary organisations of today hire and have people that belong to different cultural background. Therefore, the ethical social issues that I believe is crucial is that there should be no discrimination at the workplace based on what cultural backgrounds one belong to or basis of gender, colour and rights of the employee are respected and maintained by the organisation. Acknowledging and sensitizing with the rights of the people who are working in the organisation. There are many ethical issues that surfaces while handling the confidentiality to the employee's personal information like ma
ied or divorce, compensation or family related background. Privacy of the employees is extremely critical and should be taken into consideration with utmost care. Utilizations of such data and information of the employee from the records maintained in any organisation. Therefore, ensuring right to confidentiality and simultaneously keeping the access to such data in the hand of responsible and discrete people to use such data in the ethical manner.
