Beginning with health and safety standards with a special focus on first aid according to Victoria Employment Legislation, the responsibility of health standards and safety at work lie on the shoulders of both the employers and workers. The employees in the company must execute their work in a manner it does not create any kind of trouble or harm to the health and safety of others (Goldfinch & Roberts, 2013). All the employees must be given proper training for providing the first aid treatment in case anything wrong comes about. The covered possibilities according to the law are accidents taking place during the manufacturing or production procedures. it also covers the accidents or mishap because of everyday routine procedures in other departments as well. The employers must make the a
angements for first aid facilities according to the medical standards. The things present in the first aid box including ointments, band-aid, medicines, liquids, and other required things must not be expired for the welfare of the employees. There must be appropriate number of first-aid boxes present in the company as per the number of employees. There must be at least one first-aid box in one department. One first-aid box must be for a group of 10-20 employees in case of a heavy strength of employees in the production department.
Considering workplace and employment rights, Victoria employment legislation saves the employees from discrimination that can take place at the workplace (Bennington & Wein, 2000). It covers the right of the employees during recruitment, procedures of conducting the interviews, the terms and conditions offered by the employers to be employees, salary negotiations, etc. It also focuses on
