INTRODUCTION
I believe that we are cu
ently living in the era where organizations are promoting ethical behaviour to attain success. Today, people are very aware of the damages done to the environment and taking legal actions on the company thereof. I have joined Bulla Ice-creams Company for the summer training as I found that the company has very social and friendly environment. The manager was very energetic and listens and helps the employee in every sphere of working in the company.
IMPLICATION OF SOCIAL PRESSURE AND PUBLIC PRESSURE
I was able to explore the social or public pressure on the organisation for ethical behaviour in the organisation. While working at Bulla Ice Creams Company, I feel that social pressure has become very significant in business ethics. Today, companies should meet the demand for genuine treatment to the customer, charitable giving, community involvement and valuable working conditions for the employees. I can say the company has fulfilled the social responsibility efficiently because this makes the company unique and different from their competition in the era of massive competition. The Bulla ice cream has successfully followed all the necessary measures to avoid public pressure which affect the image of the company in the eyes of the employees and the general public. There was the day when the one of the employees of my company fainted due to heavy workload, it was very difficult our manager to deal with the public who stand against the firm that the company is treating their employees badly. The public gas organized various boycotts to force our company to reconsider their responsibility towards the employees (Barnett & Bass & Brown, 2016).
I think in the era of the internet where business cannot afford to ignore social and public pressure on the organization as it may affect the company’s performance.
