For your Portfolio Project, you will identify a prospective idea for development as an Android mobile application. Introduction
There are different types of Android app which are present on the Google play store and make android market leader. It is based on Linux and open source operating system for mobile. It was developed by open handset alliance and managed by the Google. Most of the mobile applications are developed for Android using Linux devices The Android operating market is becoming more popular day by day specially in the field of mobile. It is an open source and some of the development tools are free which makes it more preferable for the researchers. It allows the developers to use a suitable hardware platform (Beyer, S., & Pinzger) which reduces their efforts in implementing the ideas. Most of the researchers are working to improve the development of Android systems. Using the developments made in Android it has changed the way of educational, presenting information, accessing information and learning. Most of the hardware and applications are not developed to support the educational or instructional features but the environments related with training and educations are affected by these developments. The practices performed in the training and educations have contributed to their processes as per the new technology launch and have used them as much as possible for their benefits.
The first step is to set up the development. In this step we will install and setup the environment for development. The Android virtual devices are created and connected with the hardware devices which can be used to install the applications. The second stage is for the development in which be set up and try to develop the Android project. It contains all the resource files and source code which is required to develop the application. The debugging and testing is the 3rd phase to build the project. The project is built into debuggable.apk package which we can install and execute on the device which supports Android. The last step is to publish the application. We configure and built the application which can be released and distributed to the users.
The most basic programming language which can be used for developing a mobile application based on the Android operating system are Java, Android SDK, eclipse platform and Android ADK. These systems are used to provide a smooth operation and better interface to the users. These applications provide a great user experience. the applications which are based on the Android SDK are more attractive and helps get more attention of the users.
