Stress is a major factor in most of our lives today. It can involve an individual’s job, organization, family environment or community.

Think of a stressor in your life – describe the factor or situation and think about how it can be reduced. Indicate if the steps within the plan; will all steps be addressed by you alone or would help a co-workers, management or your organization help you? Consider the larger picture of stress management in the workplace. How important is it that organizations help employees manage stress? Stress is a major factor that affects both in professional and personal life, and the ways to handle them are more challenging. The stress in this case, is between a client in the Europe and the IT project manager from US, where the client requires the project manager to work for 6 days and more than 12 hours every day for completing the project. In this situation, there is a requirement to consider Job Demand-Control theory that causes stress to IT project manager in handling the job that is working for such long hours for all six days.
