BATNA signifies that a negotiator understands her best alternatives to a negotiated deal and it is one of the three sources of negotiating power available to her at the negotiation table, thus according negotiation scholar David A. Rosenberg, who has studied BATNA. In negotiation tactics, two or more persons engage in a negotiation in order to come to an agreement on one or more competing issues. The negotiation parties need to use the right techniques in order to win or create a positive scenario for all parties. When negotiating, individual should constantly keep this in mind. BATNA is an essential part of every meaningful negotiation.
