The cost which is associated with a customer who is waiting in a waiting line is relevant to the cost associated with adding a new counter in an attempt to reduce the service timings (Obular et al., 2016). Queue management is a solution to this kind of management to increase the overall experience of the customers.
This is a major issue as waiting in the queues can cause several problem relevant to the management sector of an organization. The most common cases of queues are observed in the banks where people wait in long lines to get service of the teller, cars gets lined up in the gas filling station and people work in long queues in shopping centers. To work on the solution of these long lines, the management of these department has to spare money for installation of new machineries and also employing new staff to attend the people.
