The company has felt the need to improvise in their operations by making it efficient for the company to deal with the present market needs and demands. While the company was operating through physical
ick and mortar store, it is important for the company now to develop certain other prospects to make it equivalent to the needs of the post pandemic situation. With the new scenario prevailing in the market the company has aimed to make a shift from the
ick and mortar business settings to online business conduction. Therefore, the company has realized the need to collect differential data in order to induce sustainability to the business.
Myers has selected the five important aspects of business operations in order to keep their business focused on sustainability. As the functions of the company were required to be turned towards online experience, certain new data was required to be integrated in the operations. While comparing the two forms of data that was used by the company prior to building its online settings and after the same, certain important aspects would be highlighted through the discussion in the present part.
Launching new product: While launching a new product in the market to sale the same through online shopping, Myers had to be more attentive towards the need that has aroused in the market. In this situation it must be understood that the pandemic situation has changed the overall scenario of the market and the market has been more inclined to concentrate on the needs rather than luxury items. Therefore, while recruiting new individuals the company has to focus more on the qualities or eligibility of the employees to work online. The employees must be aware of the IT induced structure of functioning of the company and handle the IT infrastructure more fruitfully. On the contrary the recruitment factors were more dependent on the eligibility of the employees to conduct sales and move products physically to supply them to their customers. However, the recruitment functions must consider developing opportunity based functioning for example to be able to derive opportunities to hold credibility to help the customers to find the right products they are looking for. After the shift of the company in the online selling or e-commerce model, the hiring or recruitment functions should be based on the sound ability of the employees to handle online and technological functions (Kaptein, McFarland & Parvinen, 2018).
IT: The IT infrastructure of the company is required to be changed as remodeling is required to be done to meet the online functioning needs of the company. In an e-commerce structure the business should involved systems like a running supply chain which can be tracked real-time.
