The 7-eleven system of the franchisees chains may strike on headoffice as parliament is going to inquire of the abuse of wage. The workers are being exploited by this democracy from many years in the city. The workers in Australia is arond 1.3 million which is same as one out of 10 of workforce and it is really a big problem as it has a broad ecomonic inference. This system is basically being unwholesome for the government of Australia as the tax is not in proper shape. Mostly, the sudents who are visa holders are being abused though they are allowed for 20 hours to work only a week.
As per the statement of Ferguson (2015), “it was extremely disappointed that a number of franchisees werenot meeting their obligations”. An investigation revealed that around 225 stores has been found to have issue regarding payroll and documents were revealed through the investigation of Fairfax Media and Four Corners jointly and the documents are quite explosive. In the month of 13th October to 9th November, there were around 89 compliances from the 7-eleven franchisees stores. Among these stores around 47 issues were related to wage which is underpayment or false payment sheet.
According to Berg and Farbenblum (2018), it is believed that the power and responsibility, power and theocrat should be balanced in case of franchises relationship and the code of those Franchises is designed in a way as it can protect those franchises from the abuse of a franchisor that is in more powerful position. Though there is always a conflict between competition law and workplace law. As per a statement of 7-eleven, it was said that the franchisees are not meeting the obligations and it is being a problem for small business holder who are meeting those obligations as they are not being digressed from other business holders.
