The following review article aims to analyse the impact of Patient Protection and
Affordable Care Act on the ethical treatment of the patients in the Managed healthcare
organisation. The paper is based on the review of literature of the works done in the past
on the topic and formed some informed recommendations for the ethical HMO with
espect to rules and regulations put in place by the managed healthcare system. The article
explains the act and its implications in detail and consequently elaborates on the
operational and legal framework that can be followed to provide treatment to the patients
in most ethical manner. The scope of the paper is limited to the applications of the
ecommendations in a particular scenario and hence calls for further research pertaining
to special circumstances wherein law will play a larger roles in deciding the ethics
followed.
The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) is a central law signed into
egulation by President Barack Obama in 2010. It signifies the most important administration
