GUN VIOLENCE 
Over the years, gun violence has been a big concern, with some incidents being recorded and others going unreported. Every day, around one mass shooting occurs in the United States (Porfiri, Sattanapalle, Nakayama, Macinko & Sipahi, 2019). I have chosen gun violence as the subject matter of this paper, as this is a burning topic in the country right now. When a mass shooting occurs, gun rights advocates refuse to speak out about the necessity of gun regulation in the aftermath of such tragedies. As a result, politicians will have to wait to speak about gun regulation, which may take a long time. There are fewer gun-related deaths in states with stricter gun laws. Other research, including a 2016 analysis of 130 papers from ten countries published in Epidemiologic Reviews, supported up this claim. By limiting the access to owning and acquiring the firearm, this research indicates that violence against arms that can save lives can be helped.
Some gun owners and non-gun owners feel that selling firearms to mentally ill persons should be prohibited, and that background checks for anyone on the federal no-fly or watch list should be expanded.
