a. Definition
    The term visual impairment means a lot of things. It can vary from blindness, very low vision to not being able to see definite colors. Though visual impairment can happen at any age, most vision conditions in children are likely to stay the same throughout their lives. Visual impairments in children can be categorized into low vision and blindness. When a child cannot see anything that he should be able to see for his age, it is called low vision. When a child cannot see at 6 m, what a child with normal vision can see at 60 m, he or she is considered as legally blind (Gogate et al., 2019).
. Identification and Assessment
    This situation can be easily assessed and identified by the teachers by the activities of the children. Their eyes do not move together, when looking at an object or face, eyes that seem unfocused, repeatedly shutting of one eye, avoiding activities that demand proper vision- these are the symptoms that a teacher should find in children with visual impairments.
