In current era, the use of electric vehicles has increased tremendously and the country’s governments are also providing various incentives for electric vehicles purchase and sales as well as for the entrepreneurs who are establishing electric charging stations. The government is also launching various incentives and schemes for electric charging stations manufacturers. The major incentives launched by government are as below:
In February 2021, the government has launched $16.5 million in form of grant to electric charging stations across capital cities and regional areas. Further the company is providing various funding needs at lower rate to setup such charging stations. In the year 2020-21 budget, the government has also announced $74.5 million fuel funds package which will offer the opportunities for development of bio fuelled and electric vehicles. The federal government has not much announced benefits for electric vehicle segment but the state governments are providing various relief to such entrepreneurs. In New South Wales, the government has spent approx. $171 million in charging infrastructures. In Victoria, the government has spent $19 million in reginal areas for development of charging stations. In the city of Adelaide, the government has launched sustainability incentive scheme which is providing number of rebates for development of charging infrastructure including 50% rebate upto specified ceiling limit.
