Haitian Culture (Dance as the focus) - It can be said that the culture of Haiti is the mixture of Taino, African as well as European components because of the French Colonisation in terms of Saint Domingue along with the diverse and large population of enslaved African as it is evidenced in the Haitian music, language as well as religion. On the other hand, the people of Haiti are highly connected to Haitian dance, music is filled with emotion, community, history as well as spirit. 
Despite the cultural stereotypes that have labeled dance as one of the most taboo activities and it is reserved only for the spiritual or religious rituals, or the views that are provided by the individuals who tend to think that dance is only for women. However, dance is such an important part of the Haitian culture that it has evolved itself into the lifeblood of Haitian individuals (MacFarland).
