Introduction 
In this paper, we have discussed about the plan for improving correctional facilities for 
the women prisoner in America. In this paper, also discuss about the gender experiences of 
women in prison and explains the experienced by the women who live there with special 
attention to how prisoner culture is maintained (Andersen & Taylor, 2007). With respect to the 
author's view, it is evidently clear with the way that this issue being raised with regard to the 
relative treatment of men and women. The main purpose of this discourse is to carry out some of 
the issues women inmates face in their everyday life in prison, and offer suggestions as to 
improve those issues. On the other hand, the population of women in the prison growing fast. 
Most of crimes done by the women, who are confined are nonviolent crimes, most of which are 
drug related. 
Thesis statement 
“ The main purpose of this paper to recommend the plan for the improvement of 
correctional facilities in the case of the women prisoner in America.” 
Major target of women population 
In the case of America prison, the gender difference issues  are increased and women are 
not feeling safe environment for her. The search produces results that the woman living 
conditions has not good in prison. For example, the government has not provided a single room 
of the woman prisoners and has not provided privacy of them. Gender differential treatment of 
women as fragile sex also indicates the weakness of the system (Bosworth, 2002). The issue of 
gender differentiations represents an opportunity to rethink global correctional objectives, find 
out the utility of the different approaches that have been tried and rethinking about the ways that 
is useful in the future to reduce this issue.

friends and family, in prison due to gender differentiates issue and lacking in the system.
