Social psychology is that scientific study which depicts the feelings, thought, behaviors and emotions of an individual, which are influenced by the actual or imagined presence of others. The psychological study, which deals with the social interaction including the individual’s origin as well as put an effect on them, is known as social psychology (Aronson, Wilson, Akert & Sommers, 2018).
Among several social psychological movies, this paper has chosen the movie named “Black Swan”, where the society starts destroying the emotions and feelings of an obedient and good girl Nina, when she starts suffering from OCD that is Obsessive-compulsive disorder, anorexia, bulimia, and schizophrenia.
The concept of OCD and anorexia were found in the fictional scene, where the female protagonist Nina, stares at the grapefruit and turns away the slice of the cake, which was given by her mother in order to cele
ate her getting the role (Haslam, 2021). On the other hand, the concept of bulimia, an emotional and eating disorder was observed in the scene of the movie, where Nina falls under pressure as well as stress to make herself perfect and that is why she keeps running in the washroom to throw up or vomit (Nettersheim et al., 2018).
