Statute law is also termed as a legislation which is eventually passed through the Parliament. While defining the 'statute' along with the emphasis on the 'legislation' one can use the terminology interchangeably. Considering both the State Parliament along with the Federal Parliament, they are influential bodies which can pass the laws in terms of the jurisdiction (area of influence).
