Week 01 Individual Assignment - The Supreme Court: 
The supreme Court attains the highest level in the hierarchy of the judicial system, thus expected 
to exert an optimal degree of compliance with legal process and constitutional frameworks. This 
is the only way of controlling and securing public welfare interventions and constitutional rights. 
Because of its high position in judicial system it acts as the last hope of the public and 
institutions to get justice and fair decision complying with legal norms and social or public 
welfares. Although, the decisions of the Supreme Court, against various social, economic and 
corporate cases, are intended to comply with legal norms and provide fair justice to the 
respective party, but in certain cases the prejudice of judges and law professionals creates severe 
deviation in the perceived and actual case resolutions.  
 In its respective analysis of change in viewpoints of the Supreme Court over certain past 
decades, Jeffery Rosen (2008) has notified that there has occurred significant drift in the 
conventional and the current jurisdiction viewpoint of the Supreme Court professionals, existent 
in the form of transformation of a Conservative approach to that of Corporatist approach. In the 
respective article severe differences in the viewpoints of Robin Conrad and Ralph Nader have 
been discussed, which supports respective Corporatist and Conservative approaches of judicial 
process or system. 
 Ralph Nader (2012) has stated that current judicial decisions of the Supreme Court are 
highly influenced by corporate prejudice and thus leading to higher degrees of corporate favor 
decisions of the cases.
