TOPIC : FEDERALISM
(PROCEDURE)
For the founders, federalism was a compromise in the bitter dispute between those who wanted stronger state governments and those who preferred a stronger national government. Both sides knew that the rules dividing power between the federal government and the states were crucial to determining who would be the winners and losers in the new country. No single section of the Constitution deals with federalism. Instead, the idea of a divided government is written throughout the Constitution. In this essay, define federalism and explain why the founders chose this system of government. Next, in detail, explain how federalism applies to immigration legislation and give at least two examples (not discussed in class) of federalism and immigration legislation. Lastly, articulate as to what level of government should have oversight over immigration legislation. This is not an opinion based essay, your response should be analytical and well thought out.FOLLOW RULES :- ESSAY PAPER GUIDELINES
