DIRECTIONS
you will research a common sexuality and/or Gender beliefs and determine whether this belief is plausible, confirmed, or busted.
1. First you will present the common "myth" you will be writing about (For example Women's orgasms comes from penetration, and then you will "Bust" the Myth/present the scientifically true information (women's pleasure organ is Clitoris therefor most Females cant have Orgasms through penetration alone, there needs to be Clitoral stimulation along with it, However Females can have Orgasm through Clitoral stimulation alone every time). Or It can be about Gender (Females are not good at math etc.)
2. You will have to present the scientific research supporting your argument and use APA format when citing the source.
ALL of the above MUST be in APA format. Purdue University OWL is a wonderful site to copy formatting and learn about APA Style: https:

esource/560/01
Walden University also has Excellent guidelines on how to write in APA style http:

apa (Links to an external site.)
NO Abstract is necessary but you will have to have a Reference page (Reference page does not count as one of the required 4 pages).
3. Paper should be 4 pages double spaced, font 12, Times New Roman.
4. In few words, usually 1 paragraph, tell me how your perception and understanding have changed about that particular "myth" and what did you learn from it?
5. Paper must be typed in your own original writing. If you pass off others’ work as your own, it constitutes academic dishonesty and will result in disciplinary action.

Myth: Virginity applies only to vaginal sex and not other kinds of sex.
The association of Virginity with a woman’s body has its roots in the pre-modern world. It has often used to define a heterosexual woman who has not had vaginal sex. The problem with this assertion is that it presents a picture that is not inclusive of all genders and sexual orientations. Not just women but men and other genders like to define their sexuality within the heteronormative
acket. People of different ages, body types, abilities ascertain the importance of their virginity and whatever it means to them.
The idea of virginity is often meant as abstinence from sex before ma
iage. In a lot of countries, this idea also has roots in different cultures and traditions. False perceptions and attitudes have led to the development that remains stunted and buried in the past. The limitation of this idea creates a conflict between genders. Several negative aspects of virginity hamper the worldview of young adolescents who then associate virginity with only a woman’s body that has a vaginal opening. The fact that ma
iage becomes a tool to unlock virginity instigates the growth of child ma
iages in a lot of countries. Rape, in a lot of contexts, is one of the consequences of lack of the ability to practice abstinence. Moreover, teen pregnancy and unsafe abortions also encourage the control and surveillance of sexuality of sexes, especially women. Increased Anal sex leads to an increase in STDs. Gender Equality, amidst all this, is heavily impacted. Various myths related to the hymen and bleeding on the first night of the ma
iage are smooth indicators of an unequal world since it increases the chances of marital rape and also, other kinds of violent acts like wife-battering and emotional abuse. In a lot of communities, the relationship of virginity is also with men who are forced to have pre-marital sex to prove their masculine traits. Activities like virginity pledges and sexual abstinence training are often practiced in religious environments. While...
