There are TWO projects; ONE is for today 22/03/2019 at 23:30 and the long one is for Sunday 24/03/2019 at 9:00 pm.

It´s about an Argument essay the topic is "Animal testing should be illegal"

- The first part (For 22/03/2019) is to make an Argument Outline. You will create an outline with 5 main points and sub-points related to the argument topic you have chosen. The sub-points can be 1 or 2, doesn´t need to be longer.

It´s only one page, I submitted an example.

And then for Sunday (24/03/2019) at 9:00 pm.

- Final Argument essay:

Requirement: 1200 words in length, Times New Roman font, double spaced, MLA formatting, 5 sources.

I submitted an Annotated Bibliography where you can find the 5 sources; those sources should be part of the Argument Outline, It´s too much better if you use those sources for the whole project because the Annotated Bibliography should connect with the Argument Outline, and these two with the Final Argument essay.

Animal testing should be illegal
Animal have been used for testing safety of products, observing effect of drugs and for conduction of research for a long time. Most of these animals are used in biomedical research and product-safety testing. While the issue of animal testing remains debated, it is a continuing practice in many countries, including US, today. The shady conditions that these animals are subjected too along with the ineffectiveness of many of these experiments has called the international community to raise strong objections to the practice of animal testing for scientific as well as product safety reasons.
Animals are active living beings, much like humans and experience pain, sadness, joy, anxiety and fear just the same. It is immoral to use helpless animals that cannot speak or complain, to be subjected to inhuman conditions for the benefit of humans. This is clearly an exploitation of animals for the benefit of humans which might not even be worth the sacrifice.
Tom Regan, a philosophy professor states very aptly that
"Animals have a basic moral right to respectful treatment. . . .This inherent value is not respected when animals are reduced to being mere tools in a scientific experiment" (Orlans).
Studies show that a huge number of animals as much as 50 million inverte
ate and 100 million verte
ates have been used for experiments. Animals that exhibit characteristics similar to humans are used for experiments, dominantly rats and mice. Most of these animals suffer some sort of pain and trauma and eventually die due to the tests and testing conditions.
The reason animals are used for testing is to deem products usually cosmetic ones, safe for use by humans. Research, drug testing and clinical trials are also conducted on animals in order to draw out conclusions from the tests. In order to reach the necessary conclusions, animals are subject to tough sometimes ho
ific conditions. For testing drugs, animals are injected with diseases as well. Cosmetic products and drugs are force fed to these animals causing them undue agony and distress. The unpredictable effects of drugs and diseases cause pain and sufferings to animals, most of who end up dying after or during experiments. This is violation of basic animal rights. Human beings have not been granted the right to snatch away the freedom of those who cannot voice themselves. So...
