Introduction
The present research focuses in the human resource (HR) issues of a famous seafood firm in New Zealand— Talley’s Seafood Company that they are cu
ently facing in terms of their employees going on frequent lockouts and strikes due to inappropriate work environment. Talley’s Seafood Company has subjected their employees to bad working conditions, which are affecting their health and wellbeing. As a result, they are not agreeing to work, which is why, the overall performance and profitability of such a large organization are being hampered. Hence, the cu
ent research is being conducted to suggest suitable solutions for the identified problems.
Methodology
    In the cu
ent research, the researcher would make use of positivism research philosophy, along with descriptive research design and deductive approach. Considering the available resources, the cu
ent research would have secondary research methods applied and secondary data collected. The researcher would critically analyse the collected data sources with the framed themes and thematic analysis techniques. The researcher would retain all the focus on qualitative data, collected from the secondary literary sources.
Chosen Research Philosophy
Depending on the perspective of the researchers, there are three types of research philosophies – realism, interpretivism and positivism. As identified by Vashishth, Chakraborty, and Antony (2019), in case of realism the reality of an aspect is given the highest priority, completely ignoring the significance of the human participants and perspective, while interpretivism aims at understanding the human participants and the social factors. It is worth noting that both the research philosophy types are not suitable for the cu
ent research, as the researcher aims to establish a direct theoretical link between research topic variables using relevant data, thereby, would be selecting positivism as the chosen philosophy.
Investigation Strategies used
There are two types of major research methods used by researchers and the nature of the research topic as well as the availability of the data for the research. In case of the primary research the researcher approaches human respondents and collect their response to the given research topics in the form of either open-ended or closed-ended answers. In terms of the collected data from primary research, there are two types – qualitative data and quantitative data. The qualitative primary data is collected through interview and for the quantitative data; survey questionnaire is used. As affirmed by Sim et al....
