The essay must contain quotations from at least three secondary sources as well as quotations from Twelfth Night. These secondary sources should predominantly be critical analysis and interpretations of elements of Twelfth Night. They should be published scholarly opinions about meaning in the play that you find from books or the library databases. Study guides, like SparkNotes or Cliff Notes do not count as a scholarly secondary source.1. Compose an analytical research paper on what you believe are two major themes or core ideas in Twelfth Night. Examine how those theme/ideas work together or how they create a conflict in the play. 	Shakespeare has been revered as the master dramatist of all times. Particularly, the great playwright is known for portraying the immortal tragic heroes; however, the charm of his comedies is no less noteworthy than his tragedies (Shakespeare II, 2019). His comedies evoke the feelings of love, passionate bonding of the lovers and beloveds but at the same time, mixed approach of positive and negative emotions inclusion of the dramatist also dominates the plots of his comedies (Gray, 2017). Twelfth Night excels his comedies in this particular reference where the portrayal of love is equally important to the portrayal of deceit in love. There is a specific dynamism of love and deceit in Twelfth Night that showcases the ability of lovers to deceit each other as a natural tendency driven from their emotions. 
In the play, people of all different backgrounds are seen that become romantically involved and “fall” in love. The term fall is used in that phrase because this kind of love does not happen slowly, peacefully, and with reason, this kind of love is madness for the individual affected by it. Amidst the madness there are lies, deceit, and illusions the characters force upon each other or are victims to. The message Shakespeare is trying to say about love is that it is a combination of the best and worst of human behavior and he uses this comedy to teach the audience to look within and shut off all the noise to know if this love is true after the initial fall. Orsino, Viola, and Olivia are the main love triangle in the story and have all these tendencies with each other that develop the plot with lies, love, and illusion. Love is not innocent and pure but something full of ups and downs, madness, and dishonesty.
