1.0. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

ABC concern. The plan contains all the elements which are important to be included in the
ewing process these are

els, Keg filler, malt, hops, and other related supplies.
It also details about the machinery and the laboratory equipment required for the process. The
plan explains all the related finances which are expenses, start-up cost, insurance, rent and
overhead. The management team includes the lower management the middle management and
the upper management including a skilled
ewmaster and the attendant who place important
oles in the production system. The plan winds up by detailing about market segmentation and
industry analysis including competition and regulations.
1.1. STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
The ABC
ewing Co will be a micro
ewery set up located in Michigan. It will cover an area
of approximately 3600 ft.² in the Main Street. The business is in its initial stages of start-up and
will require studying various important points from the base level such as the type of
organization and business entity, the finances, the funding, the competence, and the market
analysis. In the Michigan area the business of micro
ewing have recently been made legal,
therefore due to various tax advantages available to these businesses they enjoy profits.

that is being considered in this business plan will start its production level with the production of

The production will start with one kind of product that will be amber-style ale. This product will
e sold to the local distributors hold in turn will resell them to the tri-country draught beer
market. Initially the company will plan for tours and samples which will be offered to the users
and buyers. The sales are planned for both in-house and outhouse.

ewing Co.’s plans a long the plan of adding capacity to its plant that will be of 7500

els. Once the market and the customers and accept the first product of the company, that they
expect so, the company will come out with its second products of larger beer. Once the company

successfully gets established in the industry and the market then the plan to introduce seasonal

ews with specialties because these types of beers are more popular among the users
and thus sell quickly than normal.
1.2. COMPANY DESCRIPTION
The ABC
ewing Co is a small scale micro
ewery in Michigan in the Main Street area
covering one floor in the light industrial building. There are three sections in the building, ABC
ewing Co covers the back area within approximation of 3600 ft.² facing towards water Street.
As mentioned earlier the company aims to produce 3100 ba
els per year as per rates initial
designs but simultaneously plans to expand the capacity up to 7500 ba
els per year as the
company have that capacity and the space. The ABC
ewing Co has incorporated itself as a
subchapter S-Corporation in the State of Michigan. Their incorporation has been accepted by the
internal revenue service. Cu
ently the corporation is into the stage of investigation by the State
liquor control commission. Then another application has been sent to the bureau of alcohol,
Tobacco and firearms. Once these two investigations are completed Brewers license and Brewers
notice will be issued to the ABC
ewing Co.
The company has already attained quotes from their key vendors. All the costs of equipment,
inventory, building and labor has been identified and included in the plan. The cost of production
