1 / 7BARRY 1Anta FlorianeEnglish 101DR Barbara Williamson11/22/19Aging population is a big concern for allThe United States aging population is as big in 2010 and should increase in the next 30 years by 2billion people. Aging start generally at 65 year, and can occur to others people earlier than that age. This aging population is called baby boom generation and born between 1946 to 1964. According to the statistics the United State do not hold the title of the country that detain the most-highest percentage of aging’s population. What repercussion that a high percentage of aging population has on the government? A high rate of senior is big problem, it is an economic disadvantage for the government. The elderly health cost is one of the major concerned. The United States is facing a rapid increase of aging population giving rise to a lack in the social and economic domain.Seniors are one of the vulnerable Humans on earth. BARRY 2One of the first impact of aging in society will be based on the health sectors. Nowadays, many senior live longer with an ongoing heatlh issue like diabetes, hypertension and many other that can’t be cured but are able to be treat. This process required a long care term; these conditions will impact the social security, and the health care sector. Ken Dychwald gerontologist, who is an expert in the field, after exploring all the aspects gave a name “age wave” to describe the impending circumstance. The growing percentage of the senior have a heavy impact in the economic sector. The aging society is a big problem for the country economy. The balance between the spending and the revenues is the main concern of the Government because they have to support financially senior health care and retirement programs due to theirs incapacitate to work, to earn their own money in order to meet their daily needs. The family relationship also has its own impact. The middle-class families can barely afford some basic thing; let's not make allusion about financial resources, on the other hand let’s talk about the time that needs to be devoted to them. Care for a beloved parent require much time that is hard to observe specially in big cities where time flaw fast. Usually families have their own activities like work, school, hobbies and so on. Everyone should give a little time to senior, everybody will get old one day or another. The retirement age should be increase so less people will be abandoned by their family like we often see in home care facilities. The working-class sector is impacted by the aging factor in the society.3 / 7

A decline is also observed in the working sector due to a high percentage of ageing population. In the same case, people who cares for elderlies should be well pay or have more benefits because there are more and more homes care that opens up due to the growth of the aging population. In facilities, usually a worker can have 10 or more residents to take care of during the shift. The life expectancy of Americans population over 60 years is at a much higher level compared to other countries. The senior with long term care is a challenge and a preoccupation to all. A study conducted by researcher demonstrate that the population is aging more, and will be out of control by 2050. Aging, count as well as negative effects than positives one. The global change has a big impact on that factor. The question to know is what precaution does the government takes to help the different risk factors of aging in Society. All of the aspects in aging sector should be reconsider by the government and all the society in order to avoid a huge loss for the country. Tamara Thompson, Robert B and Laura Summer, H.S. BORJI articles have each another relevant and persuasive case on aging in society topic. All of the 3 articles are almost similar, and underlines a good point that is fine a better solution to the problem. Introduction
The United States of America is moving towards the aging population. This aging population is a baby boomer population, which was born soon after World War II. After World War II, there was sudden rise in the population of the children between 1946 and 1964. This children population is known as baby boomer population. It is important to note that oldest boomer population has already been retired and younger boomer population is reaching the age of retirement.
Cu
ently, twenty-five percent of the United States population is baby boomer population, which has already reached to the age where government support and healthcare facilities is needed to support this population (Caring Transitions). In the next 25 years, there will be rapid increase in the aging population of the country, which can have direct effect on the country’s economy and society. Cu
ently, country is not well equipped to support the rising aging population. This situation rises many issues at once (Greenhaven Press).
Impact of High Aging Population
Aging population is a population at the age of 65 and above. This population is a retiring population, which cannot take care of themselves without the assistance. This population need assistance in completing the daily routine. Apart from this, they need medical care, which can be provided by government only. Cu
ent situation raises many questions, like what impact does this population will have on government? How this situation affects the economy of the country? In what ways, can this lead to the economic disadvantage? What impact will this have on the healthcare industry?
Elderly population is one of the most vulnerable population in the country. They have contributed in the society, now it is a time that society must retaliate by providing this population with free access to the healthcare facilities. This can have direct effect on the budget of the country (Healthcare Coverage). This rising population is a burden on the government and all the industries related to it.
The government is under high pressure to sustain this population with high quality care. Medicare and Medicaid are the two federal government agencies, which cover the healthcare of the elderly population. Although, there is popular belief that elderly boomer population are getting good healthcare facilities during their retirement age in comparison to the earlies generation but reality is different (He et al.). The quality of life of elderly population is very poor and government funded programs have certain limits in supporting the elderly population.
