Introduction
The topic that is selected for this assignment is “Food”. It can be stated that food is more or less used as one of the major tools for retaining cultural identity. Furthermore, people who are from different cultures eat different foods. It helps one to discover practices, attitudes, and also the rituals that surround the food. This also sheds light on primary beliefs about individuals and others. The specific aspect on which I want to focus my ideas on is how health is connected with food/food habits. As I am from America so American culture will be contrasted with the Japanese culture in terms of food.

As I live in America food is something that represents our culture to a great extent. Across history in America food has played a role in the subjugation of particular groups of people. Therefore, food is much more than sustenance. The following are the major points in our culture (American Culture) regarding food:
