Research problem

Globalization is the strongest argument that was made these days against the key changes observed throughout the world across all the fields. There are many positive impacts against the implementation of globalization in terms of communication and technology and the entire world has come under a single roof against the level of communication and technology standards used. A person at a remote location can easily access the world using internet technologies and also the culture of different nations are wide spread across rest of the nations due to the implementation of globalization and this can be considered as a great positive impact. Different cultures and social ethics are mixed and entertained across the world due to the globalization and the range of employment offers are also increased due to outsourcing the works and thus the migrations has increased a lot due to the globalization and thus the aspects of cross culture are entertained a lot due to the globalization. All the key aspects like national, cultural, social, economical and political have changed a lot due to the impact of globalization and the walls created by humans are virtually removed(Keane,2002).

Globalization is the strongest argument that was made these days against the key changes observed
throughout the world across all the fields. There are many positive impacts against the implementation
of globalization in terms of communication and technology and the entire world has come under a single
oof against the level of communication and technology standards used. A person at a remote location
can easily access the world using internet technologies and also the culture of different nations are wide
spread across rest of the nations due to the implementation of globalization and this can be considered
as a great positive impact. Different cultures and social ethics are mixed and entertained across the
world due to the globalization and the range of employment offers are also increased due to
outsourcing the works and thus the migrations has increased a lot due to the globalization and thus the
aspects of cross culture are entertained a lot due to the globalization. All the key aspects like national,
cultural, social, economical and political have changed a lot due to the impact of globalization and the
walls created by humans are virtually removed(Keane,2002).
Globalization is not a new term and it has the core roots during the British era and the best example that
can be considered in this context is East Indian company operations in India. There are few identified
trade relationships between many countries with Arab countries and Egypt countries and these days it is
termed as free trade or globalization. Due to this free trade and globalization the overall employment
opportunities has increased a lot and even the standards of living are also improved a lot across the
developing countries. As per many theories it is clear that globalization has improved the usage of
various resources and the key benefits are enjoyed throughout the world. The key global problems like
unemployment and poverty can be reduced with the globalization and thus there are many positive
esults after the globalization process. The overall demand of the products has increased a lot and thus
the production rate also increased and thus more jobs has increased a lot. Globalization had impact on
the economy as well, where the economy of a nation depends on the other nations as well. There is a lot
of technical development across all the countries due to globalization and even the information sharing
has improved a lot in this context (Massey, 2004).
Apart from the wide range of advantages and benefits with globalization there are some key limitations
as well. The main threat of globalization is due to cross cultures and the corporate style of living. As
discussed in the previous section due to globalization the global level employment opportunities have
increased a lot and the overall living styles and standards are completely changes. When the case with
India is considered due to globalization western culture has dominated the predominant Indian culture
and even the life styles has completely changed. As per history it is clear that the traditional way of
Indian life styles are unique in nature and has become role model for rest of the world. Indian cultural
and heritage is popular throughout the world and due to globalization this style of living of Indians has
completely changes. People are hardly connected these days where the in the olden days Indians are
connected across their living and the style of houses built support this connected living. Due to
globalization the style and architecture of building are completely changed and the connected living
concept is completely violated. Thus the main research problem considered in this context is to evaluate
the modern living styles and building architectures in Indian and the impact of globalization towards
these changes. A detailed comparison is made between the old building and new building architectures
and the impact of globalization against the connected living in India.
Literature Review
As discussed in the previous sections there are many advantages with globalization and even there are
some key limitations as well. In this study Indian culture and living styles are discussed and the impact of
globalization on the living standards of Indians. Indian family system is considered as the strongest and
inspiring when compared to rest of the world and it is stable and flexible as well. There are many
historical references to Indian family structure and has perfect joint family living. In general joint families
consist of three or four generations and they use to live together. In Indian the main source of income is
agriculture and the entire land which belongs to the joint families is farmed together and all the persons
across the family use to live together in a single home. The range of architecture values used across
uilding these houses is unique in nature and they support the connected living. The unique nature of
Indian old houses mainly depends on the traditional house planning and in general it is refe
ed as
Vastu. Vastu shastra is traditional planning made while constructing the buildings across Indian in the
olden days and the key traditional views and laws are followed and impact of nature laws are considered
while building the houses across India. In general these designs are based on the directional alignments
and the key rules of Hindu architecture are followed in this context. Initially Vastu shastra was strictly
applied to temples across south India and later the traditional planning has applied to house building as
well. Vastu in India is in general composed of five basic elements like earth, water, air, fire and space
and the key planning is done based on the directional measures against these key five elements. There is
some invisible relations among these five elements and the buildings are constructed based on these
five natural forces and thus the conditions of the living are improved a lot. The basic construction
principle followed across building the homes is taken from the temples and the main intention across
these homes is to support the joint families.
Open courtyard is the well followed traditional building architecture followed throughout India before
the western style was introduced. In general courtyard is a type of house with large free space and the
main part of the building is across a central courtyard. Most of the main rooms are always open to the
courtyard and the required exterior walls are windowless and most of the courtyard houses are built to
occupy an intermediate portion for fortress or castle. All the courtyard houses built across India are
purely based on Vastu shastra and later there were some changes proposed as well to the
co
esponding shastra. In general these courtyards are built in a large open space and they are inward
looking and also provide maximum security and privacy. The main advantage with courtyard houses is
that they ensure a close relationship among the joint family members and a major central portion is left
open for regular meetings and events. These courtyard houses are widely built across India till the
western culture has evolved and later there are many changes to the basic building architecture in India.
During traditional days there are many joint families and they use to live in these types of houses and
maintained good relationships among...
