Based on the identified literature gap and problem statement, the present study sought to explore the impact of the Basel III framework on the UK’s banking sector. In this respect, the research pursued to meet the following research objectives:
a)   To discuss Basel III Framework and its implementation in the UK banking industry;
b)   To discuss the UK bankers’ perception towards the implementation of the Basel III Framework; and
c)   To investigate the effects (the current and potential future effects) of the Basel III framework on the UK banking industry and the economy at large.
