What is Race:
A race is defined as a way of grouping the human beings of this planet on the basis of their physical and social qualities. This is distinct as per the societal differentiations. At times it is also defined as a way to represent the humans who speak the same language and similar national affiliations. From the beginning of the 17th century though race was more defined as per similar physical traits. In modern day science race is referred as a social construct and an identity given by the society on the basis of set rules.
How is race created:
The term was first used in the 16th century to categorise the human beings based on physical similarities within the groups of people from a specific region or a country. As per biology race do not have any meaning though but is mostly referred to as a social construct. This concept varied over time and regions and depended on the people with similar traits. Though these days’ race is denoted in a negative way to classify some groups, who are considered higher with relation to the other groups of people.
In the modern day concept of genetics, the concept of categorization of the human race as per biology is considered as obsolete now. In the ancient classification of the societal structure, individuals with different physical features and appearance became part of the society by imbibing the cultural norms of the society (Snowden 1983; Lewis 1990)
What differentiates races physically and socially:
 Though in modern day race is considered as a social construction the racial differences does not exist though. They are defined in the context of culture in modern societies. It is on the basis of social interactions the concept of race came into existence as per the situations and the context. Skin colour was the basis of which the racial differentiations were done physically.
