Feedback must be provided to the you no later than 10 days after all assessment activities have been conducted. If you want a review of your results or if you have any concerns about your results, you can contact the teache
assessor or your Head Teacher.
You have three weeks from the date you receive your results in which to make an appeal and/or request a review. You should receive a response within ten days of the receipt of the request. Teachers and their Head Teacher will address any appeal in accordance with Assessment Guidelines for TAFE NSW.

You are required to attempt all sections of this assessment task.
PART TWO – skill performance
Task 2. – Prepare a presentation - no more than 5 presentation slides
Speaker notes are required for each slide.
You are required to hand in your presentation slides as part of your assessment.
Choose a legislative requirement such as: emergency procedures, noise, hazardous manual tasks, falls prevention, first aid, use of high-risk plant- forklift and prepare a presentation to the safety committee to explain what information and strategies that need to be consider to:
· establish, implement, maintain and evaluate a work health and safety (WHS) management system for a specific work area of your organisation in accordance with WHS legislation including policies, procedures and record keeping.
Consider how you would:
Measure and evaluate the WHSMS in line with the organisation’s quality systems framework
Develop and implement improvements to the WHSMS to achieve organisational WHS objectives
Ensure compliance with the WHS legislative framework to achieve, as a minimum, WHS legal requirements

Outline and explain five (5) strategies that the organisation can use to ensure that they are WHS compliance. In your presentation you should refer to relevant WHS organisational policies, procedures, programs and practices that will assist in the WHS management system and the organisation to meets its health and safety responsibilities.

In this same guidance note as per the previous task:
6.1 Explain how you will provide information and complete documentation that is required for the WHSMS. You may focus on your nominated hazards and risk from Part One.
Task 7 Research Activity
You are required to locate two (2) WHS policies You may consider WHS Policy or a specific hazard policy such as noise, risk management, 1st aid, manual task or falls.

Do they clearly define the organisation’s commitment to complying with WHS legislation? If yes, explain how. If no, what would you recommend.

Task 8 Develop a procedure for:
8.1 Ongoing hazard identification, and assessment and control of associated risks
8.2 Include in your procedure hazard identification at the planning, design and evaluation stages of any change in the workplace to ensure that new hazards are not created by the proposed changes and existing hazards are controlled.
8.3 Develop and maintain procedures for selecting and implementing risk controls according to the hierarchy of control and WHS legislative requirements
8.4 Process to identify inadequacies in existing risk controls according to the hierarchy of control and WHS legislative requirements are, and promptly provide resources to enable implementation of new measures.
8.5 Explain how you would identify requirements for expert advice and how would you request this advice.
