Start with 1-2 tablets/day
5. Cost per strip/box in RO: 0.9 Omani Riyal/Strip
     6. Principal indication (labeled and unlabeled): 
Sulphonylureas or Glibenclamide are suitable for the treatment of subjects with non-insulin-dependent diabetes (type II diabetes) when the mere diet is not sufficient. This therapy is suitable for people over 40 years. In about 15% of the patients the sulphonylureas is a failure. The 'second generation' glibenclamide should be tried before initiation of insulin therapy. Secondary failures occur after months or years of treatment. About half of the treated subjects do not respond to long-term treatment with sulphonyl ureas. A combination with metformin should be resorted to in case of failure. Glibenclamide should be combined with insulin. Several studies indicates it success.
7. Dose and instructions for each indication: 
Initial dose 1.25 to 5 mg at an interval of 24 hours (oral administration)
Maintenance dose 1.25 to 20 mg at 24 hours interval (oral administration)
