I really enjoyed this week article as it pertained to both hard and soft skills. This was really effective to my cu
ent role as Doyle mentioned, soft skills relate to the way you relate to and interact with other people (Doyle,2020). They key thing with the position requires speaking with many individuals on a daily basis as it pertains to their educational journey while providing assistance with them enrolling in the university due to some of them not fully knowing what they career path consists of.
Soft Skills
Communication/listening abilities- Speaking with many different individuals it is important to know how to communicate effectively when it comes to certain situations.While communicating with individuals it helps establish relationships to build rapport.
Working with intricate processes in a rapid, changing setting. The university change different processes on a quarterly cycle therefore it is essential to understand and adapt to change.
Close attention to detail as it pertains to providing a program recomendations for the prospective student. The student provide important information about their goals and work experience and our role is to come up with the best plan necessary for their success.
How do soft skills move the employee to a place of value and ownership?
Cultivating soft skills like listening and interacting with others will make employees proactively involved about noticing difficulties and roadblocks to their aspirations. Furthermore, they will discover issues and apply suitable responses or adjustments for their success and work on whatever is necessary to benefit them and the company.
Will the same soft skill behaviors work for all position types?
When we look at the job market, we can see that not all soft talents are required to be productive.Lower-level or entry-level admission advisor will need to demonstrate positive communication and listening skills.While middle management will need to improve their motivation and leadership skills to develop the demands of expectations. Upper management has to show critical thinking and honesty.During an employee's profession, individuals will have opportunities for growth and development if they are able to acquire, evolve, and make use of a variety of soft skills.

I like the article for this week and that it states soft skills as "also known as "people skills" or "interpersonal skills," soft skills relate to the way you relate to and interact with other people" (Doyle, XXXXXXXXXXI have always heard soft skills as something that is already present within an employee, but necessarily taught. Which is really subjective because everyone is different in their own ways and especially within the workplace. With that I would say the top three soft skills to succeed within my cu
ent role are,
Confidentiality- There is heavy emphasis on sensitive data from employee files, to medical, evaluations, munitions and aerospace customers and more. Having the understanding of what is within reason to share and not is a good aspect of my role.
Time Management= Given that this is a corporate managed role and the company is a large corporation, there is always a lot going on. Knowing how to manage time and re-prioritize daily and even minute to minute is crucial.
Analytical Problem Solving-This is something that I think fit the term I was given originally. You cannot always teach this aspect but it is within each person to present differently. I know for me this is important for many of my employee relations complaints or even trying to recruit for certain position. It all needs to be strategic and planned.
Think back to the components of the job analysis and job description you have analyzed so far and consider how to use soft skills to put the components into actions and behaviors.
How do soft skills move the employee to a place of value and ownership?
Employees become valuable and take ownership when they are reassured their role is being fulfilled. Soft skills add a personal flare to the workplace and within reason can cater to the business needs to help the company overall. They will give personal satisfaction towards achieving competitive advantage as well. It can add value to the team aspect for certain soft skills to be present, such things like adaptability, attitude and work ethic.
Will the same soft skill behaviors work for all position types?
For the most part I would agree with soft skills being interchangeable amongst all roles or positions. However, I think of the occu
ences where internal employees are promoted and a soft skill like work ethic or time management is going to be pertinent instead of managed or supervised. I think the ability to learn and grow is there around potentially learning the soft skill but it may take more demands that adaptability, or analytical problem solving (depending on the role).

As a recruiter, there are three keys of skills that are crucial for success in the position. These include the aspect of communication, empathy, and adaptability. Effective communication is essential for the recruiter as the role involves constant interaction with the candidates and other take holders. Clear and concise communication helps build relationships, understand hiring managers' needs, and effectively convey job requirements to candidates. Ve
al and written communication skills are critical that enable the recruiter to articulate job responsibilities and career opportunities to attract and engage top talent. Additionally, active listening skills and understanding of the candidate's aspirations on concerns leading to better alignment between candidates and job opportunities (Ngah et al., 2021).
Empathy plays a vital role in the recruiting process. A recruiter must understand and empathize with the candidate's experience and career goals. Demonstrating empathy, recruiters have a positive and supportive candidate experience and make them feel valued and understood. This helps build trust and rapport and increases the likelihood of candidates accepting our jobs and becoming engaged employees (Elhajjar, XXXXXXXXXXFurthermore, more empathy enables are recruiter to provide constructive feedback to candidates and guide them through the recruitment process even if they are not selected for a particular role. In the dynamic and ever-changing field of recruitment, adaptability is crucial, and a recruit needs to be flexible and open to adjusting their approach based on the specific requirements of each position. It must also consider the screening methods, candidates' preferences, and the different sourcing strategies and interview techniques. By being adaptable, a recruiter can effectively navigate challenges and changes in the recruitment process and ensure that high-quality candidates are identified and matched with suitable job opportunities.
Soft skills are not limited to the recruiter but apply to various organizational positions. However, the specific soft skills required may vary depending on the nature of the work. For instance, a customer service representative may require strong communication and empathy skills to handle consumer inquiry and provides satisfactory resolution. On the other hand, a project manager may benefit from strong leadership and problem-solving skills to effectively manage teams and overcome obstacles.
Soft skills empower employees by fostering a sense of value and ownership. Employees who feel their contributions are acknowledged and appreciated are more likely to be engaged and committed to their work. Soft skills such as effective communication and empathy help to create a supportive and inclusive work environment where employees feel heard and respected. Moreover, they assist in better job analysis and job description. This leads to increased job satisfaction and a sense of ownership over their responsibilities as they understand their work's impact on the organization's overall success. It is, therefore, the context of building relationships and understanding the needs of the candidates that must be focused on to change the recruitment dynamics.

In a new role that involves guiding students to the enrolment processes and providing program recommendations paying close attention to detail is crucial.
