Disorganization in context of the structure of an inner city is also commonly 
known as social disorganization. Social disorganization is defined as an inability 
of community members to achieve shared values or to solve jointly experienced 
problems (Bursik, 1988).  
The theory of social disorganization was first introduced by Shaw and Mckay in 
1942, which gained a lot of attention in the criminology arena. This theory 
basically focuses on place and helps in understanding why some communities 
have a high rate of crime while others don’t have. A study of this theory helped 
government and law enforcement departments to form strategies that helped in 
preventing criminal activities in the community and make it safer for all. This 
theory is widely used as an important predictor of young violence and crime.
Social control, on the other hand is the normative aspect of social life, or the 
definition of deviant behavior and the response to it such as prohibitions, 
accusations, punishment and compensation. (Donald Blake,1976). Generally 
speaking, social control is nothing but control of society behavior, thoughts and 
appearances by the norms, laws and rules for the welfare of society or group. No
