The Japanese American Citizens League is an Asian American charity for civil rights
purposes and it headquarter is situated in San Francisco with several regional offices across
the United States. This organisation is one of the oldest and largest Asian American
organisations of charity for the Civil rights of people of the two countries. The main purpose
is to assist the citizens who are threatened for the civil rights and human rights aspects in
America and they have created Strategies for encouraging various social changes of positivity
that can be helpful for the people. The main intention is to generate the citizenship laws and
egulations for the benefit of people and to encourage social changes that will impact on the
Asian community of America.
The Asian community in America has been constantly targeted towards certain violence and
lack of civil rights which is why it was necessary to establish this organisation. The Japanese
American Citizens League was established in 1929 for the charitable purposes for the Asian

The Japanese American citizens League was founded in 1929 and it is considered as one of
the oldest and largest Asian American Civil rights Organization in America. Since the
eginning of its Foundation the organisation has been advocating for the benefit of Asian
American community and providing them with the justice of civil rights and combating the
acial prejudice and bigotry. With the help of this association many Asian American
individuals have found justice and helped with the laws and regulations that can provide them
with fundamental rights and civil rights. What do you ask the association has touched many
historical milestones in the history for the benefit of Japanese American community (Nagata
& Patel XXXXXXXXXXIn the early years of 1929 used to be one of the most prominent organization
that used to contribute for the people of the country. Among various other organisations and
small business owners this organisation has been providing free enterprise and three lines

The first National Conference was held in 1930 in Seattle and soon after that they started
expanding their te
itory over the United States and collecting members who would be
delighted to join their venture for the benefit of the Japanese and Asian-American people.

citizenship of women who had ma
ied men of United States or other Asian immigrants

political safety and community expansion for the people of Asian community at the gain
citizenship rights.
The organisation has marked various phenomenal changes during the World War 2 and the
Civil rights movement of America. Because of the attack on Pearl Ha
our the FBI started

esting people from Japanese American community especially leaders, priests, school
teachers, Marshal art teachers and business owners for verification and many people were
assigned to concentration camps where they had to stay under the vigilance of the
government. Under the executive order 9066, an order signed by Franklin Roosevelt
questioned the loyalty of the Asian American communities and the Japanese American
citizens we did not participate in any active protest and prove their loyalty towards the United

certain sense of acknowledgement from the American government and the league constantly
getting more protection for the Japanese American settlers inside the concentration camp by
providing them with basic amenities.
This can be considered as one of the main victories that the organisation could gather bye
define the service of US military. Even during the Civil Rights movement, the organisation
made some legislative efforts to gain fundamental and civil rights for Japanese Americans.
The main intention of the organisation was to establish the immigrants in American soil and
owning them land and non-discriminatory status is that used to be the main problems of
United States (Frampton XXXXXXXXXXThe mission of the organisation is to be aware of the
esponsibilities as one of the oldest and largest Asian Pacific American civil rights
organization. They have thrived to promote a world where there won't be any discrimination
and diversity will promote honour and respect for fair and equal Social Justice for the Asian
Americans.
The mission of the Japanese American citizens League is to secure and maintain the Civil
ights for the Asian Americans and all other victims of injustice and bigotry. The leadership
of the organisation work in harmony with one another and to promote cultural educational
and social values that need to be preserved by people of their communities. The leadership
criteria do not follow any balance or any methods of protest and they have always been quite
subtle and quiet in their way of establishing their rights and regulations for their community
people. Their leadership works for the Heritage and Legacy of the Japanese American
community in America and they contribute towards the benefit of the community and the
acial problem that the people have to face.
Action
There are some activities that the organisation have taken part in two for the overall benefit of
the people of the society where they have supported other human right aspects like same sex
ma
iage. With the help of these accidents along with supporting their own community they
have gained a certain trust from people and their support have come from all over America
and across the globe. They have also worked for immigration Reform Asian issues that are
another part of civil rights and spoken against military hazing detention of the National
Defence authorisation act and the United Nations Security Council resolution of 1882 (Choi
2020).
The help of their participation and community programs they have created their popularity
for the benefit of the society. One of the most remarkable programs includes the Bridging
Community Program where they have
ought the Japanese and Asian American youth
together with the Arab and Muslim American youths. This has been one of the most
emarkable and progressive community programs that aim to create unity between different
communities and people of different languages without any racial bias.
These mention communities are the victims of recent ethnic by pottery from other people of

of the youth and members of the communities. They have also engaged into certain
workshops for the community members to attend and learn about the culture and

policy issues among these communities as well as various strategy for elevating the cu

situation of the organisation and the communities. There are also engaged in to public
speaking in national educational association and anti-defamation league that work with
immigration reformation and the other policies that are beneficial for the students and thei
future. Recently the organisation has been engaged into national convention of 2013 in
Washington DC which was based on Justice For All.
