Week Two’s assignment builds on Week One’s assignment and will be part of the final assignment. For this assignment, you will conduct a literature review as it relates to the problem, evaluate the different Open Systems Theories, create a diagram of the chosen organization as an open system, and develop your own open systems model to accurately map the organization’s systems.     • Review scholarly literature that pertains to the problem you have identified.
    • Explain how the literature relates to the problem you are working on, supporting your statements with evidence from your sources.
    • Compare and contrast at least two models of organizational change from the list below that is consistent with a systems theory approach. Explain their function and the differences between the two models. Explain which model best fits your organizational problem, providing a rationale for your decision.
      • Lewin’s Three-Phase Model of Change and Force-Field Analysis
      • The Nadler-Tushman Congruence Model
      • The Burke-Litwin Model of Organizational Performance and Change
      • Weisbord’s Six-Box Model
      • Create a diagram of the chosen organization as an open systems model. The systems model can be modified as needed to fully represent the organization but must include the following elements:
        • Inputs
        • Outputs
        • Internal and external environmental elements
        • Cultural elements
        • Feedback loop
        • Explain the different elements in the chosen organization’s open systems model.

        • Must be four to five double-spaced pages in length (not including title and references pages) and formatted according to APA style as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center.
        • Must include a separate title page with the following:

          Every organization has a model structure that defines the manner, in which the organizational operation takes place. Bolodurina and Parfenov (2017) have discussed that organization model defines the hierarchy system, the team development and the consumer’s role in the manner, in which the business operates. The models sometimes do incorporate a variety of the model structures as to meet the needs of the consumers in a more effective manner. There are different models, which can be helpful in describing the organizational structure.
          Further, as discussed by Teeguarden et al. (2016), the models that can be best used to describe the organizational structure are the Lewin’s Three-Phase Model of Change and The Nadler-Tushman Congruence Model. Change is a common phenomenon that runs through all types of businesses i
          espective of their size, industry and age. With the continuous changing world the manner of work that needs to be done is also changing a lot. Cummings, Bridgman and Brown (2016) have discussed regarding the Lewin’s Change that it has described the change in three phases.
          In the first phase, which is known as Unfreeze is the stage, which involves with the preparation of the organization to accept that the change is necessary. To be prepare for the change the need to challenge the beliefs, values, attitudes and the behaviors that cu
          ently define the organization. Using the analogy it will be helpful to analyze and prepare for the change in the existing foundations as they might not support the change. Unless that is done, there is a risk of the collapse of the entire change process.
