Answer 1: Ethics are a set of principles of true conduct that shape the decisions of people
or organizations make. Practicing ethics in marketing means consciously applying
principles of justice, or moral rights and wrongs, to marketing decision making, deeds,
and ca
y out in the organization. Companies’ cannot sell wrong products to the
customer, for this every government has made some laws, which is mandatory for every
company to follow. In USA also government has formed many agencies like FDA, CBP
etc, which make sure that the people can protected from harmful products. It is expected
from every company in USA, that they understand their responsibilities towards the
society and main priority should be given to the development of society rather than
making profits.
In US companies cannot give wrong information in their advertisings. The Bureau of
Consumer Protection's B makes sure that advertisements which are shown in the Unites
states of America must be truthful, not deceptive and not unfair. Similarly it is expected
from every company that ads should not target children’s because children’s are not in
position to make co
ect decisions, although many companies still include such aspects in
their ads, which directly or indirectly affects the children’s because these companies
know that children’s can easily be attracted towards their product. There are few products
like tobacco, which are banned to advertise on television and radio. In ads, companies
cannot compare their products with the products of other companies, nor can any
company criticize the products of other company. If any company is found involved in
such activities, then striked action is taken against that company.
In service industry, it is found that it’s very difficult for the companies to differentiate its
products from competitors. The price of services also not fixed, it fluctuates according to
the supply and demand. In case of airlines and hotels, we found that companies increase
their rates to great extend in festival season especially in charismas. At that time people
