The following essay aims to look at an analysis of the licensing and registration that is required in two professions in the built environmental field and built property field. It will compare the licensing and registration, procedure and the cost that must be invested in order to be licensed professional in Australia.

Built Environment is the man-made su
oundings that mostly every city in the world is made of. The built environment can consist of public parks, buildings and even methods of transportation. Every aspect of the environment, which is not natural, but mad-made is called built environment. In the present age, built environments also look at walkaways, public health, food access, etc. Anything that is built by man and is used to make the collective lives of men easier can be termed as built environment. There are a lot of components and jobs that are required in the build environmental process. The first set looks at buildings and property. Buildings are approximately the majority of the built environment, with the majority of the cities consisting of buildings. They can be designed in many different ways and this has a variety of effects on the living system (Newman, 2017). In many cities for example, there are garden and parks placed inside the buildings, in order to stimulate nature and natural su
oundings. In many other buildings, the glass of the building is able to utilize sunlight for generating photoelectricity (Thompson and Marginn, 2012). Different and innovative planning methods are required to make buildings, especially if they are owned by large corporations which need their buildings to stand out. Thus, built environment, along with built property are some of the two main fields in the modern cities.
There are two main professions in the built environment. The first is that of a landscape architect. A landscape architect is someone who is involved in many activities that are related to designing or re-designing a landscape (Wei, et al, 2015). Landscape architects help in site planning, site management, sustainable design, specification of construction etc. The term was first used by Frederick Law Olmstead, who had been in charge of designing Central Park in New York City. Most landscape architects are responsible for ensuring that the cities that they are working in have enough green spaces, and public parks for people to come and relax in time of need. This is increasingly becoming a lucrative, but dying field. In terms of the public landscaping services that are provided, such as public parks and open fields, they are becoming increasingly rare, as most cities have too large a population to have space for parks and landscapes. However, there is hope for the private sector. As more people live in gated communities, the need for landscapes and parks, for people to relax and children to play in has increased in most of these communities (Lang, 2017). Thus, landscape architects are hired in private by large organizations. In many places, companies hire landscape architects in order to create artificial parks within the building, in order to stimulate the environment (Porter and Ba
y, 2017).
In Australia, in order to be a landscape architect, an individual first needs to get a degree in landscape architecture from a university or college that is accredited by the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects. After having practised for a minimum of two years, the landscapes architects can approach the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects in order to get further professional recognition. There is no recognition or registration from the government that is required (Amanti, 2016). However, in order to get accreditation and recognition, the landscape architects have to write an exam in order get the accreditation that is required from the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects.
