1. What is your background, in terms of experience and education? 
 I have diverse experience in academia as well as in the industry. Prior to joining the 
Univ name I was working with company name for around 18 years. I have a post-
doctoral degree from Wharton School of Business. 
2. How would you define leadership? 
Simply put I would define leadership as a skill and ability which brings out the best in 
your team members.  
3. How did you learn and develop your own leadership style? 
Some of the qualities of the leader like patience and perseverance were inculcated in 
my by parents and school teachers. Some I learnt it the hard way, by doing and making 
mistakes. The important point is the eagerness to learn from your mistakes. 
4. What is your personal philosophy of leadership?  What makes a person a good 
leader? 
Like I said, when you can bring out the best in your team members, you become a 
leader of distinction. Any person can take the onus to become one. 
5. Can you give me an example of someone who is alive today that you think is a 
great leader?  Who do you consider to be a great leader? 
I believe Jack Welch of General Electric is one person I admire as being a leader.
