How can managers ensure that policies and procedures are clearly articulated and documented in readily accessible formats? (150 words)
The managers need to ensure that they determine and provide best format for policies and procedures. These formats should not only be comfortable for them but should also be available through vessels. The policies and procedures should make logical sense and these must be modified for the respective department for which the policies and procedures are being created (convergepoint.com, 2017). Policies should be reasonable and the employees should be made aware of such policies that will actually be in their favour even in the long run. The policies and procedures should be developed should by the managers along with senior management support and proper planning. Departmental heads should be given such responsibilities of conveying the newly formed policies and procedures to the employees in each department. By providing accessible formats, the employees are also given the opportunity to question the organizational heads and representatives regarding how and what circumstances led them to create such policies and procedures (Workplace Policies and Procedures, 2017).

An elderly client is accessing the services of your organisation. Their adult daughter rings you and asks you to tell her what services they are accessing and why. They want to know exactly what you are doing for their parent. Explain the need to protect client information in this situation. (150words)
There are quite a number of elderly care centres in Australia where the elder patients are given proper care and service on behalf of their children. Just like any other care centre, the information of inhabitants in the care centre should not be disclosed to anyone and everyone who come to visit these elderly people. Even if the son and daughter of these elderly people call up to know the status of the services(myagedcare.gov.au, 2017). Any information leaked outside the care centre without proper permission would be violating the rules and regulations of the care centre. The information hence gained should be restrained only to the staff of the elderly care centre. Older people need to get empowered and not left alone to survive on their own as treated by their own children. Therefore, it is important not to share any kind of service related information about elderly people living in the care centre with anyone who belongs to the outer world(Lothian and Philp, 2001).
