A mental health leader must first think about the live supervision approach before signing the supervision agreement with a confidentiality provision (Kivlighan et al, 1991). Understanding local rules and regulations and how they apply to the supervisee's clinical environment is the supervisor's responsibility. Another important need is setting up the appropriate equipment (Rosenberg, 2006). Depending on the approaching model, the equipment used here could include a computer, microphones, a camera or another table configuration (Saltzburg et al, 2010).
