Internalization of diversity, equity and inclusion in higher education institutions has been a dodgy issue from time in memorial. For many decades, our institutions have faced the challenge of diversifying university community from different countries, equitability in access to educational resources and inclusion of the under-represented racial in search of academic success of the institutions. Majority in our society misconstrue diversification with outlawing discrimination which basically is a misconception. In order to address diversity issues in our higher education systems, several concepts must be adopted in our institutions. Many of us use diversity in the form of euphemism rather than being specific to attain specified goals. According to Williams and Clowney (2007), institutions must eradicate discrimination when hiring processes are being undertaken to allow diversity.
