Terrorism can take place in various forms and its classification can be based on its region of origin as well. Based on this criterion, terrorism can be of two types— international and domestic. When the people causing terror (the terrorists) belong to a cross-border nationality, different from that of the target population or operate from a different country than the one, on which they would carry on the attack, then it is known as international terrorism (Park & Bali, 2017).
