Hi Marcus,
I like that you noted reasons why individuals may drop out of their doctoral programs. Life do have real challenges that affects us in various ways. Things can get hectic for one trying to receive their PhD. In my research I found an article that noted 5 helpful steps for better PhD stress management. The URL link is as follows: https://beyondprof.com/5-helpful-tips-for-phd-stress-management/
The helpful tips I chose to take into consideration from the article were: Be mindful of yourself and take some time for you, seek on-campus mental health services, learn your stressors and devise methods to cope. I’m hoping the article is helpful.
Good Job!

Hi Marcus,
You've provided the back drop for why doctoral students in general may struggle to complete the degree. However, the assignment is foryou to apply the information to yourselfand develop a self-management plan to ensure success in classes and through the program. You need a solid plan of how you will manage your work, family responsibilities, social interests and obligations, AND doctoral studies, if you are to succeed.  So, what'syour plan?  How will you balance competing responsibilities?  What self-management strategies do you have or are you going to develop or will you put into place to ensure you persevere through 5 or 6 years of doctoral studies?  Please refer to the bullet points listed in the assignment requirements above to provide a guide.
Best,
