Abstract
This cu
ent project is discussing the impact of the personality of the managers within the motivation of employees within the organisation structure. In that case, the researcher is setting the research. The research is helping the researcher in case of competing for the research project with an effective format. Primary data collection method in the form of the survey has been implemented in this research. The first chapter introduces the overall topic and the scenario of the research. The aims, objectives and the research questions have been determined and stated in this research. The rationale of the research as well as the background of the research has also been stated in this chapter of the research.
The second chapter is the literature review. This chapter describes the different literary evidences that has been stated and laid in this research. The theories and the models used in the theoretical perspectives have also been stated in this chapter. The third chapter describes the methods that are used by the researcher in this research. Within the primary data collection method, the researcher is using the survey process. In that case, the survey is done with the 72 employees of the organisation. The data that are collected through the involvement of the primary data collection method is served based on the graph format. Furthermore, the analysis of that collected dart is also presented within the discussion of the project. In the last phase, the researcher is concluding this dissertation with the conclusion.
The researcher is also serving an effective recommendation in terms of the research project. The recommendation can help in case of serving effective motivation within the employees based on the personality of the managers. The fourth chapter describes the analysis of the data and the collection of the data in the form of the survey from the 72 respondents of the company. The analysis in the form of the charts and graphs has been described in this research. The final chapter describes the overall conclusion of the research and the recommendations that may be available to the company to improvise their cu
ent situation.

The workforce of the organisation is depending on the motivation of the employees. The employees are facing issues in terms of their motivation factor due to the lack of personality of the managers within the organisational structure (Szilard et al. 2015). Moreover, in the present context, the problem is to identify the effective impact of the personality of the managers within the employee motivation.
1.2 Background of the Organisation
Tesco has been the largest of the grocery and the general merchandise company situated in the UK. Since its establishment in 1919, the company has been found to excel in their paradigms of services and their loyalty to the customers. The company has been operating in the different parts of the world including the UK and has been cu
ently stated to be the third largest grocery retails of the world, in terms of the total revenue earned by the company in the recent times The company has been operational in terms of their superior quality of management and the advanced technological manifestations and has continued to be a strict company in terms of adhering to the derived and the established principles of operations and the quality of products offered by the company. The headquarters of the company has been situated in London, UK. However, the retails of the company are situated in about 6500 locations all over the world. In terms of the overall number of employees recruited by the company, it amounts to over 450000 employees as of the statistics of 2017.
1.3 Background of the Research
In the cu
ent day context, the effective workforce of the employees is the essential factors for the better performances of the business organisation. In case of having better performances of the employees, there is the requirement of the employee motivation within the organisational structure. Employee motivation can be served on the grounds of the personality of the managers within the organisational structure (Ansoff et al. 2018). The good behaviours of the managers within the organisational structure are helping the employees in case of having a clear view regarding the objectives of the organisation. With the clear view of the organisational objectives, the employees within the organisation can be able to get the destined objectives of the organisation.
1.4 Rationale of the Research
The researcher found that the managers are facing issues in case of motivating employees within the organisation due to the lack of personality (Abeysekera and Dawson, 2015). The cu

2.1 Concept and importance of personality of the organisational manage
The personality of the managers in the organisational context refers to different qualities of the manager such as figurehead, honesty, smartness, confidence, punctuality, supporting nature, cooperation, problem-solving capacity and so on (Jafri et al. 2016). Through practicing the improved and systematic personality, a manager enables to impress his or her employees within the organisation. However, as per the type and category of the companies based on the industry, the importance of the manager’s personality differs. If a manager does not possess an influential and impressive personality, the employees cannot be inspired to serve their best effort for the organisational benefit. On the other hand, generally, the workforce of the organisations consists of employees belonging to different socio-cultural political, economic and racial backgrounds (Kaplan and Atkinson, 2015). Therefore, the impressive personality of a manager can motivate them to work as a team, develop healthy communication and supportive environment among one another and also to avoid any conflict among them.
2.2 Concept and importance of employee motivation
Employee motivation is defined as the status of the commitment of the employees towards an organisation and their interest to take an active part in the organisational benefit. As stated by Lazaroiu (2015), the fulfilment of the organisational goals, purposes, and aims are greatly depended on the motivation and enthusiasm of the employees. Both the internal and external factors may influence the employee motivation and evidently, the employees feel comfortable and energetic through motivation. Generally, the management is the most responsible to motivate the employees in performing their functional activities at its best level. For example, if the management of the organisations implements bonus, promotion, financial reward and such other strategies for the employees, they can positively be motivated. The major importance of employee motivation is greatly embedded in the increase of organisational productivity, enrichment of the product or service quality as well as in enhancing the organisational reputation in the market.
2.3 Impact of the manager’s personality on employee motivation
The personality of the managers within the organisations is considered as one of the most significant variables in determining employee motivation. The employees are greatly motivated by the positive and influential behaviour of the managers. For example, if a manager directly approaches the employees frequently and behave with them like a friend, the employees feel inspired to support the manager in every aspect of the company’s betterment. However, the rude and instructional behavior of the managers dissatisfies the employees and de-motivates them. Therefore, a pleasant personality is always expected from the manager’s side in order to motivate the employees in improving their performance quality (Mikkelsen et al. 2017). The cheerful and energetic personality of the manager towards the employees is also effective in attracting the employees to take part in the organisational decision-making process as well as providing their valuable feedback and suggestion. Smart and decent personality also motivates the employees to follow the characteristics of the manager and promote their organisational position.
2.4 Theories on employee motivation
There are several theoretical concepts that elaborate the idea, importance, and application of employee motivation. Those theories are discussed below:

Maslow’s need hierarchy theory is noted as one of the motivational theory. In that context, it can be mentioned that the major context of the theory is depicting the needs of the employees within the organisational structure. Based on the observation of this theory it is observed that Maslow’s theory of motivation is based on the needs of human beings. In case of the analysis process of this motivational theory, Maslow is classifying the human needs based on the hierarchical manner. According to the analysis, process of the motivational theory of Maslow it can be added that bin case of the fulfilment of one of the basic need of human beings the leader can serve the motivation among the others.
