This assignment involves comparing two arguments in two short articles (see links below). You should think about the differences and similarities between the arguments in the two articles and then compare the strengths and weaknesses of each argument.

Introduction
Should a business venture choose to be a public company, state owned corporation, family run
usiness or a private company? In the cu
ent economic environment, arguments for and against
various business venture are propagated by a number of people. What are the pros and cons of a
public company and how are these addressed in the articles? The need to study companies is
necessary because there are arguments for and against such undertakings in terms of their
formation, undertaking, performance and powers. The history of company formation dates back
to 1886. The way companies have been undertaking their activities in the past and at the moment
equire a clear understanding because of the powers vested to them by the statute. This paper will
discuss public companies in terms of their formation, operations, powers and arguments for and
against such undertakings. The paper starts with an introduction of the attributes of a company
then the history and finally arguments for and against companies.
Attributes of a company
According to Diamond (2012), a company is an artificial person and critics argue that this
statement needs reforms. The critics argue that if a company is an artificial person, then such
should be executable. The economist (2012) argues that public corporations are the drivers of
capitalism because they are at the base of the global economy. The article says that corporations
seem to have gained popularity in the 1990s. During this time, they had the potential of spread
all over the world and hindering any other business venture. The old forms of business like
partnership and state owned entities seemed to be engulfed by public companies during this
