recently been hired by your accounting firm out of college. Upon being 
hired, she engages in a number of different behaviors that need your

is no labor union for accountants. However, she begins talking to her 
co-workers during lunch breaks and sometimes during regular work hours,

 employee’s supervisor consistently asks her out on dates; the employee 
initially refuses to go out on a date with her supervisor. The employee

Each and every job requires some special kinds of ability to perform the tasks, competence, skills 
and which is stated in the job description before hiring an employee. The employment-at-will is a 
non-contractual agreement between an employer and employee. Employment- at- will doctrine 
states that, when the written employment contract is not signed and when terms of employment 
are not definite than employer has the right to terminate the employee without giving any notice. 
Termination can be due to good reason, bad reason or no reason.

In the present case Jennifer fails to perform the task which is the basic requirement for her job 
means she is no longer an asset to company. She should be laid off by employer from the 
company and should not be re-hired because she lied in her interview that she has full skills 
which are required for job. This doctrine also states that usually employee is hired because of his 
or her own willingness and terminated because of employer willingness provided there is no 
contract between employee and employer.  
 Steps: 
- Proper training is to be given, if even after training she is unable to perform as per the standards 
than she should be terminated and employer will not be liable for this.
