Food insecurity has become one of the most prime problems for college-aged students presently and with the passing time, the problem is likely to increase. Several types of research that focuses primarily on the issue are listed below-

In the context of food security and trade overview, the main focus is shed upon what are the basic measures that are considered in the context of food security. The literature focuses primarily on food security at the national and household levels what is its implications and why it is necessary primarily. Considering the food security it is stated that the availability of food though has increased but still it is quite uneven which is a matter of concern for the people all around. In the article, it is listed that food security in the household context is impacted by the low income inherited by the families as well as the less availability of resources. In the context of food security trade liberalization also played a prominent role as the cost established in the trade contexts would directly impact the cost of the food items that are available for purchase in the meanwhile.

The authors illustrated that food insecurity has become a worldwide problem, especially among college-going students. The author further stated that the survey that was done through the e-mails that were sent to the student who was holding the questionnaire related to the several things regarding the topics the answer inherited by the college students confirmed that the food security status has decreased with the passing time. Through several studies and researches, it was found that the Covid-19 has impacted the food security among college students in negative ways as they have become much more insecure.

The author further illustrates that there are four components of US households that is quantity, quality, psychological acceptability, and social acceptability. All the four components relate to the several stances like the first one household experiencing restricts the volume and calories of the food so does all these other volumes have in context with each other. The authors have taken into context three undergraduate students who were the main person for the research purpose. In the findings, it was illustrated that food insecurity in college students is a result of subsequent neglect and insufficiency in the availability of food.
