A manager should behave in a way he expects his team to behave. The main attributes of a
positive role model are as follows:
 Showing the ability of compassion and forgiveness
 Development of strong and effective habits
The manager should appreciate the work of the team with sympathetic words and when the
team expects it. Empathy should be combined with the positive action for encouraging the
team.
The team will tend to behave in a way their leader behaves. Maintaining good habits such as
punctuality and respecting teammates is to be done by the manager for receiving it back

 Perform one task at a time and finish it

Creativity can be defined as the ability to think and express new ideas on a particular manner.
Several minds are better than one. Orientation of creativity in a management is important as it
motivates the teammates to contribute and put some effort in giving creative ideas. This may
create a set of ideas as the whole team tends to think on a particular matter. Creativity also
helps in solving problems that arise suddenly and unexpectedly.

Following process is to be followed for the creation of personal development plan:
 Planning in advance
 Meeting conducted with the employee/supervisor
 A plan should be created
 The permission of the upper management is required
 Training and development is provided after identifying the plan
 The usefulness of the training experience has to be evaluated
